INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA
Wesley Davis is a lifelong Indian River County resident and fourth generation farmer. He resides in Vero Beach with his wife Tonya, son Wesley, Jr., daughter Taylor and grandson Trent.
Wesley attended the University of Florida where he was a student senator and a member of the Alpha Gamma Rho fraternity.
Wesley was appointed as Indian River County Property Appraiser in January, 2019 and elected unopposed in November, 2020. He is a member of the Florida Association of Property Appraisers, International Association of Assessing Officers, Florida Chapter of International Association of Assessing Officers, Realtors Association of Indian River County, and the Property Appraisers Association of Florida.
Wesley served on the Indian River County School Board from 1994-2000; was elected Chairman for 3 years.
Wesley was elected as County Commissioner for District 1 of Indian River Count, holding that seat for 12 years; serving as Chairman for 2 years.
During Wesley’s County Commissioner terms, he served on several boards, councils and committees, such as the Value Adjustment Board for 10 years, including being elected Chairman for 1 year and serving as Citizen Member Homesteaded for 1 year; Florida Association of Counties Property Tax Workgroup; Council of Public Officials; Metropolitan Planning Organization; Economic Development Council; YMCA of the Treasure Coast Board Member (2006); Visiting Nurse Association – North County Advisory Council; Agriculture Advisory Committee Liaison; Early Learning Coalition of Indian River County; Historic Resources Advisory Committee Liaison; Indian River Lagoon Advisory Board; St. Johns River Alliance; Treasure Coast Regional Planning Council; and the Tourist Development Council.
Wesley’s community involvement includes Association Parliamentarian for the Florida School Board Association, Licensed Auctioneer (since 2002), Licensed Real Estate Agent (since 2000) and Broker, 4-H Leader, Farm Bureau Federation, Florida Cattlemen Association, National Rifle Association (Lifetime Member), Indian River County Youth Livestock Association, IRC Future Farmers of America Alumni (Lifetime Member), Past State Future Farmers of America Executive Committee Chairman, Indian River County Firefighters Fair Board of Directors, Exceptional Student Education Advisory Committee, Florida Future Farmers of America (Past State President), Harvest Food & Outreach Center Board of Directors, Sebastian River Medical Center Board of Trustees, Dancing with Vero’s Stars (2014), Barrier Island Coalition Outstanding Citizen Award (2008), and Indian River County Healthy Start Coalition Board of Directors (2016).Contact Information
