Angela Gray was first elected to the Office of the Property Appraiser in 2008, and has been re-elected without opposition in 2012. She is the first elected female property appraiser in Jefferson County. Prior to Angela’s election to office, she served on the Jefferson County Planning Commission and was selected among her peers as their first female Chairman in 2008. Angela also worked in the areas of Commercial & Residential Construction and Growth Management & Land Development for 16 years prior to being elected.

Professional Involvement: Angela is a member of the Florida Association of Property Appraisers, Property Appraiser’s Association of Florida and the International & Florida Chapters of IAAO Community Involvement: Angela is currently President of the Monticello Rotary Club and serves on the Board of Directors for Jefferson Outreach for Youth and the Jefferson County Education Foundation. She serves on the School District Parent Involvement Committee; Jefferson Elementary PTO/SAC and Jefferson Legislative Committee.She is a member of the Monticello-Jefferson Chamber of Commerce, Farm Bureau, and Wacissa Pentecostal Holiness Church. Being a graduate of the local high school, Angela has strong convictions for encouraging local youth to be active learners about their community and to pursue opportunities for education beyond high school. She has established partnerships with the local high school, Workforce Plus, and the FAMU School of Business to provide volunteer service and internship experiences at the Property Appraiser’s Office. Angela has been recognized for her dedication to community service. She is a Paul Harris Fellow and was named Rotarian of the Year by Monticello Rotary in 2010-2011, VFW Post 251 Ladies Auxiliary named her "Unsung Hero" in 2011 and New Bethel AME Church presented her with a Community Service Award that same year.
