MEMBER DETAILS
Geoffrey N.D. Greene
Inverness, Florida

With over 35 years of experience in real estate, he was licensed as a Real Estate Broker and Mortgage Banker. Geoffrey Greene came into office facing the single largest declining market in recent history. Committed to restoring public trust and seeking a better understanding of values, he established his "Property Appraiser’s industry Roundtable" comprised of leading businessmen and women most familiar with the real estate, appraisal and banking worlds of Citrus County. Their purpose being to serve as a "real world" advisory group and provide a vehicle for two way communication and exchange of information and ideas to improve the service delivery of the office. Born in Atlanta, GA, he grew up in Delray Beach, FL. His career took several interesting paths early on, beginning as a firefighter, where he rose to the rank of Captain and was instrumental in starting the first paramedic program in Palm Beach County, for which in part he was recognized as "Firefighter of the Year" in the late 1970s.

After that, he pursued a career in real estate, finance, appraisal and development. He came to Citrus County to assist Mr. Stan Olsen by managing his companies and was responsible for bringing "Black Diamond Ranch" out of the ground. Geoff and his wife, Sheila, have been residents of Lecanto since the early 1980s and are both interested in community affairs and issues. They came to Citrus County from South Florida, where they were married in 1978. Mr. Greene has one married daughter, Jennifer, who lives in Alaska, together with his two granddaughters, Mason and Jillian.
